Before installing, be sure that your computer meets the system requirements and that no previous or trial version of Microsoft Office is installed.
1. Check to see if you meet the system requirements: For Office System Requirements, go to www.office.microsoft.com/systemrequirements
2. Check to make sure that no previous or trial version of Microsoft Office is installed. Don't worry, Microsoft Office Professional Plus is backwards compatible. None of your old data files will be lost. To determine if you have a previous or trial version of Microsoft Office:
For Windows 7
a: Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features.
b: Locate any previous or trial Office version listed as “Trial” or “Click-to-Run,” click Uninstall, and follow the instructions.
For Windows 8
a: Navigate to the Desktop by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard or by clicking the Desktop tile.
b: Open the Charms bar by swiping in from the right hand edge of the screen for touch screen users or by moving your mouse to the right hand corners of the screen.
c: Click Settings, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features.
d: Locate any previous or trial Office version listed as “Trial” or “Click-to-Run,” click Uninstall, and follow the instructions.
For Windows 10
Here are some solutions to see installed programs under windows-10!a: To uninstall programs in Windows 10 , press the key combination [Win-Logo]+[X].
Here simply click on "Programs and Features" and open "Programs and Features" in Windows-10
Then select the installed program in Windows 10, and via right-click on the corresponding program, you will see an option to uninstall the program.
Download and installing Microsoft Office
Step 3. Access “Your Microsoft Product is Ready!” email that was sent to you from ThinkEDU.
Step 4. Click on the download link in the email from ThinkEDU to begin the download process.
Step 5. Once the link is clicked, it will take you to a website where you need to create a Microsoft Account.
Step 6. Follow the on screen instructions. Once completed, the installation should begin.
Step 7. Installation will continue (see progress bar). Office will let you know when the installation is completed.
Step 8. Product key is embedded with the download. If everything goes well, the software should be automatically activated.
- If the programs aren’t automatically activated with the embedded key (You will see a text box to enter an email, there’s a small link below the blue "Next" button that you should use to "Enter a product key instead". Do NOT enter in your email address. Instead click the link below the "Next" button that says "Enter a product key instead"
